Mac shipments up 21%, iPhone might reach 10M that quarter

Holiday shopping is said to be up compared to last year, but it might be up big instance for Apple. Analysts are reporting that orders for components used to build the Iphone, among other devices, have spiked up and that could mean that Apple might ship and build up to 10M phones that quarter. That would be quite a milestone whether that was confirmed later that year.

On the computer side, Mac shipments are up 21% compared to last year according to retail sources. Desktops are up 74% while laptops are up by 5%. We wonder how many desktop Macs are the new 27″ iMac. [via appleinsider, electronista]
