Amazon To Replace Cracked Kindles For Free

Amazon seems to have finally relented by offering to replace Kindles which were cracked by the cover for free, which is a 180-degree turn from its earlier stance that thumbed noses at owners of the Kindle 2. Apparently, before that about turn, the 2-year warranty didn’t cover such cracks and due a $200 fee to repair. Nothing like some good news to lift up the spirits of one after a conditioned week at work, eh?
